As the third generation of his family in the art glass
industry, Ron has focused his passion of art
toward flameworking. One of his personal goals is
to expand the recognition of glass as a fine art
medium. In his pursuit of this goal he has written
instructional articles for five international
magazines.
With his wife, Rocio, he authored his first book
"The Exotic Art of Glass Bracelets" in May of
2004 followed by "The Cookbook of Color
Boro Recipes" in 2005. Since then, together they
have written two more books in a new series
"Rocio, The Art of Beads". In 2007, GCTV
Productions released Ron's first
instructional DVD "FLAMEWORK with Ron
Bearer Jr."
Aside from glass art, Ron loves to be in the air.
Once again, he is the third generation following his
father and grandfather as a pilot. In spring of 2010
he started training with his new coach,Steve Wolf,
to prepare for the fall 2010 IAC Competitions
and airshows. He enjoys sharing time with family
and friends and bringing Rocio to small bed and
breakfasts in small antique coastal towns.
